Why your exchange result can be different
A calculator is an estimate, not a copy of an exchange risk engine. These are the inputs that most often explain a difference:
01Mark price vs. last price
Liquidations are normally triggered from a fair-value mark price. The latest trade on a chart can be above or below that value.
02Risk tiers and margin mode
Maintenance rates can increase with position size. Cross margin also depends on shared wallet equity, other positions, and reserved maintenance.
03Fees and funding
Opening and closing fees reduce realized PnL. Periodic funding may be paid or received and can move a trade’s break-even price.
Before you use a result
Do I need to connect an exchange account?
No. The calculators work without registration or API keys. Public market data is requested only when you choose to load it.
Are calculations performed locally?
The position inputs and calculation run in your browser. Calcoring does not ask for wallet credentials, seed phrases, or exchange login details.
Which calculators are available now?
The Position Size, Liquidation, and full PnL calculators are live. The remaining tools are shown as a roadmap so availability is never ambiguous.
Can I use the result as an exchange quote?
No. Contract rules, fee tiers, rounding, open orders, and account state can change the final number. Always verify it in the exchange position panel before trading.
Does Calcoring support both long and short positions?
Yes. All four live calculators support long and short setups, with direction-aware sizing, PnL, funding, break-even, and liquidation calculations.
